Vital Strategies Social Media

Vital Strategies is a leading global public health organization and a trusted partner of governments and civil society organizations around the world. It helps governments strengthen their public health systems to contend with the most important and difficult health challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Vital Strategies uses their social media channels to internationally disseminate information to educate and raise awareness about best practices for preventing the spread of COVID-19.

The challenge however, was to convey the general risk of COVID-19 transmission without quantifying it, through simple and easily understood graphics. Many of the claims that have surfaced about risk of transmission are based on unverified numbers and statistics. Vital Strategies stresses the importance of presenting factual information. To that point, I created a series of images and animations that stress the importance of wearing masks to prevent transmission, as well as content for their social indicators campaign which emphasizes how important data are essential for prevention practices.
